Zomato announed it’s new feature-10 minutes delivery on Monday.Deepinder Goyal, the co-founder of Zomato announced the new feature via Twitter. Here’s is what he tweeted:
The first launch will be in Gurgaon next month. Acknowledging the backlash Zomato backed Blinkit (previously Grofers) faced, Mr. Goyal affirmed that safety of the delivery agents will not be put at risk.
Zomato claimed that the quick delivery will be achieved by setting up a dense network of "finishing counters" which will be located in near high-demand customer neighbourhoods.
Zomato said that “sophisticated dish-level demand prediction algorithms and future-ready in-stations robotics" will be used.
This will ensure that the food is sterile, fresh and hot at the time of pickup by the delivery partner.
